Senior HR Specialist

About the role

Join Baxter’s Human Resources team as a Senior HR Specialist, partnering with leaders and employees to shape a positive employee experience. You will influence organizational outcomes through data‑driven HR solutions, continuous improvement projects, and strategic workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employee‑relations investigations, recommend resolutions, corrective actions, and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Partner with managers on attendance, performance, disciplinary actions, and separations while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
• Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, retention, and engagement survey results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and monitor action plans with business leaders to address workforce challenges and meet organizational goals.
• Coordinate performance‑management processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibration sessions, and improvement plans.
• Support talent‑review and succession‑planning initiatives by identifying talent risks and retention strategies.
• Conduct job evaluations and advise on compensation adjustments, promotions, and workforce‑planning activities.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with Puerto Rico and Federal employment regulations.
• Lead HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives, influencing stakeholders through data‑driven decision‑making.
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures within assigned HR accounts.
• Provide administrative support to the HR department and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR analytics.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, develop action plans, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Puerto Rico and Federal employment regulations.
