Senior HR Manager, Talent & Succession

About the role

COFCO International is seeking a Senior HR Manager to lead enterprise‑wide talent management and succession planning from its Global Business Services centre in Porto, Portugal. The role will shape the leadership pipeline, ensure critical role coverage, and drive the development of high‑potential talent across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive talent management framework aligned with business strategy.
• Lead governance of talent identification, assessment, and development processes.
• Manage corporate succession planning for executive, leadership, and critical business roles, including annual talent reviews.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, and senior leaders to create development plans for high‑potential and successor candidates.
• Facilitate enterprise talent review and calibration discussions, and drive talent assessment methodologies.
• Monitor market trends and best practices to continuously improve talent programs.

Required profile

• Senior HR professional with proven experience in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work closely with senior business leaders and executive teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess bench strength, identify risks, and develop actionable succession strategies.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities to drive enterprise‑wide initiatives.
