HR Generalist – German Speaker (Porto)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining employee support, HR operations and recruitment in an international environment. The HR Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle and ensure effective HR administration, employee relations, recruitment coordination and compliance with policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, offboarding and HR documentation.
• Provide HR support to employees and managers, addressing HR enquiries and supporting employee relations matters.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including candidate communication, interview scheduling and offer preparation.
• Support compensation processes, payroll data accuracy and compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
• Prepare HR reports, coordinate training activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology or a related field (preferred).
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, covering multiple HR disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, recruitment and HR reporting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with a high level of confidentiality, autonomy and attention to detail.
