Senior Financial Controller – Supply Chain & Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join our fast‑growing hardware scale‑up. You will become the financial partner for the Operations and Supply Chain teams, owning the full cost picture of our smart locker production across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Own the COGS buildup by product line, maintaining up‑to‑date bill of materials, labour and overhead allocations.
• Track and report gross margin by product and customer, linking pricing to actual production cost.
• Monitor procurement cost variances (steel, electronics, packaging) and supplier performance.
• Build production cost‑per‑unit trends, analysing drivers such as scale, design changes, and quality issues.
• Own the rolling operations forecast, aligning procurement commitments, production pipeline and cash impact.
• Provide inventory carrying cost visibility and highlight mismatches with demand patterns.
• Run financial reviews with Operations and Finance leadership, delivering decision‑ready variance analysis and forward‑looking cost risk assessments.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in financial controlling, cost accounting or industrial FP&A, preferably in manufacturing or hardware.
• Deep knowledge of cost accounting methods including standard costing, variance analysis, overhead allocation and activity‑based costing.
• Hands‑on experience with bills of materials, production variance tracking and procurement cycles.
