Senior Electrical Engineer – Converter Reliability Specialist

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to strengthen its renewable‑energy portfolio in Porto. The role focuses on improving the reliability and performance of electrical converters through continuous improvement, root‑cause investigations, and quality enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement improvements on converters based on CIM (Continuous Improvement) cases and root‑cause analyses.
• Guide design teams on Design for Reliability (DfR) principles, including supplier coordination.
• Review and approve design deliverables from project teams.
• Oversee fleet‑wide quality upgrades and field failure data analysis.
• Lead FMEA, RCA, and tolerance chain analyses to instill a quality mindset across modules.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of engineering and quality‑assurance experience in product design.
• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience with CIM cases and root‑cause analysis in industrial settings.
• Fluent English and collaborative, open‑minded attitude.
