Purchasing Agent

About the role

The Purchasing Agent will support the procurement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production at H.B. Fuller’s Portugal site. The role manages inventory, maintains accurate SAP data and works with suppliers to meet cost, quality and delivery targets while collaborating with Planning, Sourcing, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials according to production plans and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate safety stock.
• Ensure timely material availability for production requirements.
• Maintain accurate material and supplier data in SAP.
• Analyze demand, inventory and procurement performance.
• Support supplier negotiations and manage pricing information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in purchasing, procurement or material planning.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities and meet time‑sensitive production needs.
