Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an international technology environment and take ownership of designing, automating, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure. The role is fully remote but requires the candidate to reside in Portugal and be fluent in French or English.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and/or Jenkins.
• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, following Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Work with key AWS services, particularly EC2, EKS, and RDS.
• Manage containerized applications and environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage GitOps deployments with Argo CD, including application definitions and environment configurations.
• Automate build, testing, deployment, and infrastructure processes across multiple environments.
• Design and implement zero‑downtime deployment strategies to ensure high availability.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Contribute to incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production environments.
• Apply DevSecOps best practices, integrating security and compliance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Support development teams in adopting DevOps, automation, and cloud best practices.
• Create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or a similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid experience with AWS, especially EC2, EKS, and RDS.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing and supporting high‑availability production environments.
• Good understanding of GitOps and automated deployment practices.
• Previous professional experience in betting, iGaming, online gambling, or similar high‑transaction environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, and cross‑functional teams.
• Fluency in French OR English.
• Notice period of less than 30 days.
