About the role
Mastercard’s MDES team is responsible for secure, fast, and scalable digital payment services used by millions worldwide. As a Senior Software Engineer you will help evolve the platform from on‑premises to public‑cloud deployment, ensuring reliability and performance for global customers.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to design and deliver microservices‑based solutions.
- Develop and maintain secure, high‑performance backend applications using Java and the Spring framework.
- Own the full lifecycle of your code, championing technology standards, opinionated frameworks, and resilient architecture.
Required profile
- Passion for building applications that serve hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
- Proven experience with server‑side, backend development, especially in Java.
- Hands‑on experience with the Spring framework for cloud‑ready applications.
- Experience building event‑driven systems.
