Senior Developer Advocate – Content Creation

About the role

Elastic, the Search AI company behind the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash), is hiring a Senior Developer Advocate focused on content creation. The role educates and supports users worldwide, covering search, AI/ML, observability and Elasticsearch as a platform. The position is based in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Create high-quality technical videos on search, AI/ML, observability and Elasticsearch, covering foundations, advanced use cases and research trends.
• Explain how Elasticsearch integrates with other tools and protocols such as LLMs, frameworks, OpenTelemetry and cloud providers.
• Build open-source demos and example applications on GitHub combining Elasticsearch with developer and AI tools.
• Contribute to Elasticsearch Labs and the company's YouTube channel.
• Prototype and publish sample applications showing end-to-end Search + AI or observability use cases.
• Keep content fresh and engaging for existing users and attractive to new audiences.
• Give feedback to product and engineering teams based on hands-on experience and community interaction.

Required profile

• A proven track record of creating highly technical and engaging videos (mandatory in the application).
• Strong technical background and experience in an engineering role.
• Comfortable working with a highly distributed team and able to work independently and self-organise.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

• Base salary of EUR 53,200 to 84,200, with no variable component.
