Senior Data Engineer Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer Scientist to lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives for a premier biotechnology company. The position is based onsite in Juncos, Puerto Rico and supports manufacturing and commercial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end analytics and data‑science projects that deliver measurable business impact.
• Partner with commercial, manufacturing, engineering, supply‑chain and IT teams to solve complex problems.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models and predictive analytics using Python or R.
• Build and optimise data pipelines, data models and scalable architectures (EDW, Databricks, SAP, MES).
• Work with large, complex datasets using SQL, Spark and Hive.
• Create dashboards and reports with Power BI or equivalent tools.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance, regulatory, security and GDP standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related field.
• Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
