About the role

KCS IT is seeking a senior‑level Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud‑based data and automation solutions for a variety of clients. The position is fully remote and open to candidates already residing in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

Develop and automate data pipelines using Python and cloud services.
Design, implement, and optimise serverless architectures on AWS and Azure.
Work with SQL databases, data modelling, and Spark/PySpark processing.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
Integrate streaming platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis.
Create visualisation dashboards with QuickSight, Streamlit or Dash.

Required profile

5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Strong problem‑solving attitude and proactive teamwork.

Required skills

Python (automation, scripting, data engineering).
AWS services: Lambda, S3, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM.
Azure services: Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake.
SQL databases and data modelling.
Spark/PySpark.
CI/CD tools: GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI.
Kafka or Kinesis.
QuickSight, Streamlit, Dash.
