Senior AI Platform Engineer (Remote, Portugal-based)

About the role

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer in the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, you will be a founding member of an Engineering Intelligence unit that defines AI‑native workflows for the R&D organization. You will design and build the core primitives—agentic frameworks, commands, and skills—that enable hundreds of engineers to interact with the codebase through AI.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex AI‑native workflows, including multi‑agent orchestration and codebase‑specific Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Define standard constructs for Skills, Agents, and Commands that automate the developer lifecycle from planning to implementation.
• Integrate the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with internal tools such as task management, version control, and documentation.
• Lead the evolution of an internal developer marketplace and multi‑target CLI, ensuring security, governance, and extensibility.
• Produce telemetry and engineering health metrics (e.g., DORA, SPACE) to identify bottlenecks and perform cost‑of‑inaction analysis.
• Drive adoption of AI‑native workflows through PoCs, stakeholder feedback loops, and consultancy to R&D teams.
• Optimize the agentic development loop to deliver faster, higher‑accuracy outcomes than manual processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (Backend, DevOps, or Platform) building scalable tools for developers.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in AI/Agentic technologies, with deep knowledge of LLM orchestration and agentic framework design.
• Strong ability to work across multiple scripting and programming environments.
