Science Content Writer (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

We are looking for a Science Content Writer to join our partner’s team remotely from Portugal. The role bridges advanced research and engaging digital storytelling, turning complex scientific discoveries into clear, compelling narratives for researchers, innovators, and broader audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social‑media strategies and content calendars for platforms such as X (Twitter) and LinkedIn.
• Create thought‑leadership pieces, technical blog posts, research announcements, case studies, and educational content.
• Translate complex topics—including peptide research, biotechnology, and AI‑driven workflows—into accessible stories for scientific communities.
• Produce and coordinate visual assets such as data visualisations, research graphics, and scientific animations.
• Collaborate with scientific experts to identify key discoveries and milestones for amplification.
• Support external partnership initiatives and manage content distribution across relevant channels.
• Analyse performance metrics, monitor engagement trends, and continuously refine content strategies.
• Leverage AI tools to increase production efficiency while maintaining scientific integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacology, computational biology or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience creating scientific, technical or educational content for social media, newsletters, blogs or professional audiences.
• Strong understanding of peptide research, drug discovery, biotechnology or adjacent scientific fields.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving, innovative environment.
