Real Estate Financial Controller

About the role

Siemens Energy Real Estate is seeking a Business Controller to manage commercial and financial activities for its UK & Ireland portfolio. You will ensure transparent analysis of a ~250,000 m² real‑estate portfolio and support local teams in delivering cost‑effective projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books and records in line with Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRS).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 and internal real‑estate accounting principles.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and financial analysis at country level.
• Collaborate with the Head of RE UK & IE and the Technical Project Management team to control project budgets and schedules.
• Provide commercial support for lease negotiations and external lease preparation.
• Perform calculations, reconciliations, provisions and accruals for real‑estate specific accounting.
• Analyse and control gross cost, free cash‑flow, profit and CAPEX, reporting results to local and hub management.
• Identify savings opportunities, support risk management and drive process improvements.
• Lead a small team member and manage relationships with external service providers.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in a controlling role, preferably within real‑estate or lease accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16, fixed‑asset accounting and SAP finance modules.
• Accounting qualification and ability to handle large data sets in a structured way.
• Clear communication skills across all organisational levels.
