R&D Engineer Internship – Electric Water Heaters

About the role

Join Bosch's Home Comfort division in Aveiro as an R&D Engineer intern focused on electric water heaters. You will support the development and validation of new heating solutions while gaining hands‑on experience in a leading industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and validation of electric water heater products.
• Analyse applicable legislation, standards and technical requirements.
• Define and execute test plans, conduct laboratory testing, measurements and performance evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Quality, Product Management and Manufacturing teams during product development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.
• Interest in thermal systems, hydraulics or sustainable technologies.
• Good communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Structured, analytical work style with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, autonomous and solution‑oriented mindset.
