R2R Specialist (M&F)

About the role

ALEBS (Air Liquide Europe Business Services) is looking for an R2R Specialist (Management & Finance) in Algés. The role contributes to the cost-effective operation of R2R activities by driving a high-performance, engaged team that delivers quality service. It covers general ledger, account reconciliation, asset accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Post all journal entries and execute and/or validate legal requirement reports such as VAT, statistics, central bank and Intrastat
• Support the Finance Business Partner with year-end activities and open/close accounting periods according to the closing calendar
• Perform and/or validate month-end closing activities on schedule
• Analyse accounts, perform balance sheet and sub-ledger to ledger reconciliations, and follow up unjustified entries
• Follow up investment orders and assets under construction monthly with the Operations Controller and/or Plant Managers, and record fixed asset transactions in line with local GAAP and IFRS
• Prepare, upload and/or verify IRIS reporting and consolidated packages, publish reporting packages, and support consolidation team queries
• Verify and justify gaps between IRIS and ERP, ensure audit activities are completed on time, and support the consolidation team

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or Economics
• More than 4 years in a similar function
• Experience in a Business Services Centre is a plus; experience in a multinational company is desirable
• Intermediate English (written and spoken); extra languages such as Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian, German or Swedish are valued
