Energy and Business Analyst (m/f)

About the role

Air Liquide's SEGE (Société Européenne de Gestion de l'Energie), which provides energy services to European entities, is hiring an Energy and Business Analyst based in Lisbon. You will join the SEGE Finance & Solutions team and work under the supervision of the SEGE Operations Controller (based in Brussels). The role unlocks value from data for key stakeholders and works closely with front office, supply chain, business administration and energy management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Model and configure energy sourcing and sales contracts in Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) tools and analyse energy prices and performance
• Carry out month-end energy cost and revenue calculations, control energy prices, settle financial energy transactions and analyse major P&L deviations
• Prepare energy price guidance for the Group's target and reforecast processes and help with group financial reporting, including off-balance sheet energy commitments
• Take part in REMIT reporting, help develop new controlling processes and contribute to projects optimising IT tools

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Business & Management
• More than 3 years of professional experience in Energy Controlling or Middle Office roles
• Strong English; French and/or Dutch is a plus

Required skills

• Financial background with a solid understanding of energy markets
• Understanding of ETRM systems and finance tools such as SAP and LIBS
• Strong analytical skills, adaptability and a proactive, hands-on approach
