Project Management Officer – Regional Portfolio Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Project Management Officer to join our regional PMO team in Portugal. The role supports the EMEA investment bank’s strategy by steering a cross‑country project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with regional objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee quality execution of the regional project portfolio, monitoring budget, risk, and schedule.
• Track project progress, raise alerts, and ensure compliance with financial and timeline targets.
• Implement and maintain portfolio reporting tools (workload plans, KPIs) and prepare presentations for management.
• Organise and lead the quarterly Project Portfolio Review Board for EMEA leadership.
• Proactively design processes and solutions to automate and simplify reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a PMO or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills, especially in finance.
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented, and able to train and support teams.
• Pro‑active, collaborative, and comfortable challenging regional decisions.
• Fluent English; French or Portuguese a plus.

• PowerBI (or equivalent analytics tool).
• Agile methodology and rituals.
• Clarity time‑tracking and project‑management tool.
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Risk identification, coordination, and meeting facilitation.
