Accounts Payable Team Lead

About the role

The Accounts Payable Team Lead will coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. This role supports the finance department by optimizing payment processes and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the accounts payable team, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet deadlines.
• Review and approve invoice batches, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
• Collaborate with purchasing and procurement to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Oversee reconciliation of payable transactions and promptly address any variances.
• Prepare regular reports such as aging analyses, cash‑flow forecasts, and payment status updates.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven ability to lead a team, provide training, and manage performance.
• Strong communication skills in English for internal and external stakeholder interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience using accounting software for invoice processing and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, vendor management, and payment term compliance.
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for process improvement.
