International Controller – Assistant Vice President

About the role

iCapital is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join its International Corporate Finance team in Lisbon. The role will support accounting, financial close, tax, treasury, statutory reporting and audit processes for multiple entities across EMEA and APAC, working closely with internal finance teams, local accounting providers and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting and financial close for multiple international entities across EMEA and APAC.
• Coordinate with local accounting firms and internal teams to ensure timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions and account reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, audit schedules and tax compliance across jurisdictions.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash positions and process intercompany funding.
• Identify process improvements and support finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Experience working with multinational entities or international accounting environments.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
