Project Engineer – Renewable Energy & Energy Storage (Europe, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support renewable energy and energy storage projects across Europe. The role is remote and involves engineering management of wind, solar and battery storage assets for an international independent power producer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities with external and internal stakeholders, consultants and engineering firms.
• Lead design optimisation, cost reduction and performance improvement for renewable power plants.
• Provide engineering support for wind turbine generator (WTG) projects.
• Perform solar resource assessments and energy production estimates using PVsyst and related tools.
• Support procurement activities, including RFP preparation, contract negotiation and qualification of OEMs, suppliers and EPC contractors.
• Assist in technical feasibility studies for new investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Project Development and Execution teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Gain exposure to emerging technologies such as green hydrogen.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy projects.
• Experience in wind turbine and solar PV engineering, high‑voltage connections and sub‑station design is a strong advantage.
• Proactive, structured working style and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
