Purchasing Agent (German Speaker)

About the role

H.B. Fuller Portugal is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support the procurement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods, ensuring continuity of production and optimal material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials based on production plans and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Ensure timely material availability to support production requirements.
• Maintain accurate material and supplier data in SAP.
• Analyze demand, inventory, and procurement performance.
• Support supplier negotiations and maintain accurate pricing information.
• Coordinate supplier claims, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve procurement and supply processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or material planning.
• Professional proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities and meet time‑sensitive production requirements.

Preferred profile

• Experience purchasing raw materials, packaging or finished goods in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory management, safety stock and demand analysis.
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations and performance management.
