Operations Process Safety Manager

About the role

The Regional Process Safety Manager is responsible for managing Major Accident Hazard (MAH) programs within the assigned region, implementing Operations Risk initiatives and supporting day‑to‑day activities. This role ensures alignment with global safety standards while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement GEMS processes across the region, gather frontline feedback and submit improvements to the global team.
• Develop and resource the regional three‑year operations risk plan aligned with the global strategy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, regional clients, regulators and other external parties to communicate SBM Offshore’s MAH risk management processes.
• Provide escalation feedback to the global organization and manage the regional team, fostering competence in day‑to‑day activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, process engineering or a related discipline.
• More than 15 years of experience in process safety, technical safety or a related technical risk discipline.
• At least 5 years of offshore operations experience (Region 1/2) or project execution experience for offshore assets (Region 3).
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects or unit teams.
