Production & Quality Control Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Production & Quality Control Technician to oversee the full lifecycle of footwear production, from industrialisation to manufacturing. You will work closely with product development teams and both Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to ensure our high quality standards are maintained and production runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor factories throughout industrialisation processes, including bulk quantities, material inspection, quality assurance and quality control.
• Support factory technical teams during the industrialisation of all styles and ensure technical approvals are communicated.
• Inspect and approve main materials upon arrival at factory warehouses.
• Track production quality across cutting, stitching, assembling and packing stages.
• Report real‑time production risks, delays, capacity constraints and quality concerns to the AA Porto office.
• Perform QC checks according to AQL standards and manage QC reports using Qarma.
• Analyze production data, suggest process improvements and follow up on production claims with factories.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in footwear production or a similar role for a brand.
• Strong understanding of footwear construction and production processes.
• Proactive, solution‑driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and available to travel.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Experience with QC tools and standards, particularly AQL.
• Proficiency in using Qarma for QC reporting.
• Knowledge of footwear industrialisation, material inspection and quality assurance processes.
