Maintenance Engineer

About the role

You will join Coloplast’s Operations Technical team in Felgueiras, supporting the start‑up and ongoing production lines. The role initially focuses on establishing documentation, validation processes and ramp‑up of new equipment, then evolves to full‑time maintenance management.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement maintenance processes, spare‑part inventories and validation documentation for new production machines.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, update the ERP maintenance program and generate work orders.
• Support installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment, including pneumatic, mechanical and robotic systems.
• Train maintenance technicians and act as subject‑matter expert for the production process.
• Coordinate spare‑part purchasing, manage non‑conformities and drive continuous improvement of technical processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably in the medical device sector.
• Proven ability to develop procedures, support high‑volume production and work with ERP systems.

Required skills

• Pneumatics, precision mechanics, industrial electronics and robotic systems.
• Microsoft Office Suite and ERP system (E1) proficiency.
• AutoCAD 2D, Inventor 3D and Veeva document‑control knowledge.
• Good command of English.
