Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving manufacturing goals through lean techniques, effective supervision, and training of personnel. The role ensures products meet quality, service, and cost standards while complying with UL, CSA, and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and sustain production schedules to guarantee on‑time delivery and resolve material shortages, equipment downtime, and quality non‑conformances.
• Supervise personnel, assign tasks, monitor attendance, and manage performance appraisals, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain safe operation and proper maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with the Hubbell Caribe Quality Manual and relevant certification requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
• 5–7 years of supervisory and manufacturing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Experience with quality improvement programs (Six Sigma, UL/CSA certifications, ISO 9001).

Required skills

• PC hardware and applications knowledge.
• Practical experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with Kanban, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing tools.
• Understanding of UL and CSA product certification processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements.
