Operations Manager for Anime Production Studio

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to build the operational foundation of an Australia‑based, artist‑led creative company that is expanding into its own anime animation studio. You will lead hiring, streamline workflows, and ensure that creative projects move from idea to execution with clarity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the initial hiring phase and onboard 10+ team members.
• Develop an operational plan to prepare anime projects for public release.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across design, marketing, product creation, e‑commerce, and studio work.
• Manage, organize, and support team members across multiple functions.
• Improve systems, workflows, and execution as the business scales.
• Track projects, assign tasks, and manage workflows using Notion, Miro, or similar tools.
• Identify bottlenecks quickly and implement practical solutions.
• Maintain clear communication and accountability within a remote team.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Experience hiring talent and managing teams.
• Background in social media, marketing, or e‑commerce operations.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable, independent, and comfortable working remotely at least 5 days a week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Notion.
• Proficiency with Miro or similar visual collaboration tools.
