Mobile Game Unity Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Game Unity Developer to join our partner’s team in Portugal. You will build and evolve high‑quality mobile games that reach millions of players worldwide, working across the full development lifecycle from prototype to live operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement mobile game features and systems in Unity for iOS and Android, from early prototyping to production and live updates.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, producers and engineers to turn game concepts into polished player experiences.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable C# code following best‑practice design patterns.
• Profile and optimise performance, resolve bottlenecks, crashes and platform‑specific issues.
• Develop UI systems, animations, visual effects and gameplay mechanics using Unity components.
• Contribute to build pipelines, deployment processes and continuous improvement of workflows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and testing to ensure reliable releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing mobile games with Unity, including at least two shipped titles.
• Proven impact on production quality, stability and player engagement.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required skills

• Unity engine (UI, animations, prefabs, asset management, audio integration).
• Advanced C# programming and object‑oriented design.
• 2D and 3D mobile game development.
• Performance optimisation, profiling and debugging tools.
• Client‑server communication (APIs, WebSockets).
• Build pipelines and deployment processes.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
