Mechanical Engineering Internship – eBike Systems

About the role

Join Bosch's eBike Systems team in Ovar as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. You will support the development and industrialisation of mechanical components for connected devices such as display and remote units, gaining hands‑on experience across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, validate and test mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with design and reliability standards.
• Participate in requirements analysis, using insights from previous projects to align designs with process needs.
• Plan and execute validation tests on prototypes in the mechanical lab, assist during testing and document results.
• Learn and apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles, taking part in design reviews to facilitate smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
• Work within a multidisciplinary, international project team and interact with various internal departments and external partners.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Specialisation in Design or Manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong passion for mechanical design, product development and manufacturing processes.
