Marketing Innovation Manager - AI Enablement

About the role

As the Innovation Lead for the Portugal Center of Excellence, you will drive a culture of continuous experimentation, guiding the adoption of AI, automation, and next‑generation workflows across the organization. You will own the innovation roadmap, turning ideas from workshops into scalable, value‑adding solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Champion innovation by running high‑energy workshops and vision sessions that inspire staff to rethink daily workflows.
• Mentor and coach a high‑performing team to identify automation opportunities and move from problem definition to prototype.
• Build and nurture an internal community of “Innovation Champions” across departments.
• Architect and deliver first‑of‑a‑kind automations or AI prompts, demonstrating viability through hands‑on prototyping.
• Serve as a solutions architect, resolving complex technical bottlenecks that junior operators cannot solve.
• Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders, ensuring solutions are powerful and user‑friendly.
• Design custom Google Apps Script integrations that connect Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Drive to reduce manual effort.
• Leverage LLM‑powered coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Codex) for rapid prototyping and “vibe coding.”
• Industrialise innovation by creating frameworks that turn workshop ideas into documented, billable case studies.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the current AI/automation landscape, including LLMs, agents, and no‑code/low‑code ecosystems.
• Proven “builder” mindset with a portfolio of automations, tools, or products you have created.
• Strong influence skills – able to convert skeptics into enthusiasts.
• Hands‑on technical aptitude; you will code, test, and iterate alongside your team.
• Not a “slide‑only” leader; you actively build and experiment.
