Managing Director – Plant Operations

About the role

The Managing Director will lead the strategic integration of Aumovio’s automotive business areas across the plant, driving operational excellence in quality, cost, assets and delivery. This senior leader will coordinate cross‑functional activities, build a high‑performing team and champion a culture of safety, sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Own plant P&L and budget, accountable for revenue, EBIT/EBITDA, productivity, cost optimisation and working capital.
• Translate corporate and Business Area strategies into actionable plant‑level plans that boost customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Lead implementation of the Technology Roadmap, expanding capacity, driving manufacturing innovation and aligning with Industry 4.0 standards.
• Establish and continuously improve robust quality standards and a zero‑defect culture across all operations.
• Develop organisational capability through strategic workforce planning, competency development and knowledge‑management programmes.
• Represent Aumovio in industry committees, local associations and community forums, advancing corporate social responsibility.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a senior plant management role.
• Proven full P&L responsibility with measurable impact on profitability and cost optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent Portuguese (native level) and business‑level English; additional European languages a plus.
