Logistics Specialist (French & English Speaking)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Logistics Specialist to support our transport operations in Porto. You will coordinate on‑site collections, manage fleet allocation, keep our Transport Management System accurate, and ensure clear communication with drivers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transport operations, liaising with suppliers to secure vehicle availability.
• Monitor all collections, ensuring agreed times are met and recorded.
• Update the Transport Management System promptly with complete operational data.
• Maintain up‑to‑date driver details in the system.
• Communicate transport instructions to drivers and document confirmations.
• Create detailed transport monitoring notes (seal numbers, arrival/departure times, goods collected, vehicle and trailer numbers, driver names).
• Provide customs documents to drivers within required timelines.
• Deliver proactive customer updates via phone and email, and inform them of any delays.
• Ensure compliance, accuracy, and reliability of all transport activities.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and French (mandatory).
• Experience in transport or logistics operations.
• Strong planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional verbal and written communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.

• Microsoft Office applications.
• Transport Management System (TMS) usage.
• Transport/vehicle tracking systems.
