Junior Server (Commis Waiter) – Hospitality Role

About the role

Join the Aethos Ericeira team as a Commis Waiter / Junior Server, delivering memorable dining experiences in a cliff‑side retreat overlooking Praia da Calada. You will work closely with guests and colleagues to ensure every service moment reflects the brand’s focus on sustainability, well‑being and community.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, escort them to tables and provide attentive, friendly service.
• Prepare and maintain the dining area, including table setting, mise‑en‑place and cleaning.
• Present menus, offer recommendations and take orders using the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages while upholding quality and service standards.
• Assist with stock management, billing and closing of tabs.
• Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).

Required profile

• Professional training in Food & Beverage service or 1‑2 years of proven experience.
• Fluent Portuguese (mandatory) and strong English skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Customer‑oriented, friendly, with excellent communication.
• Team player, proactive, responsible and flexible for rotating and split shifts.

Required skills

• POS system operation
• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
