Junior Buyer – Procurement Role

About the role

Somfy is looking for a Junior Buyer to support purchasing activities at its new manufacturing site in Felgueiras. The role focuses on creating and managing purchase orders, monitoring supplier deliveries, and ensuring data quality within the ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and process purchase orders in the ERP system with accuracy and timeliness.
• Follow up on supplier order confirmations, delivery dates and overdue orders to meet production needs.
• Resolve supply‑related issues in coordination with suppliers, supply chain, production and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate supplier, contract and purchasing data for reliable reporting.
• Support procurement activities for selected direct and indirect categories.
• Track purchasing metrics, prepare reports and provide visibility on key performance indicators.
• Maintain purchasing documentation, contract records and operational follow‑up files.
• Participate in best‑practice initiatives, spend optimisation and cost‑reduction projects.
• Contribute to the integration of the new manufacturing site and shape purchasing processes from the ground up.
