Junior Accounts Payable & Vendor Master Data Specialist

About the role

As a Junior Specialist in Accounts Payable and Vendor Master Data at Bruker’s Global Business Services Center in Porto, you will support day‑to‑day operations, maintain vendor master data and assist with issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vendor master data and inbound documents to keep the database up‑to‑date.
• Set up and verify new vendor profiles following internal controls.
• Document and validate legal and compliance requirements for vendors.
• Handle internal and external requests regarding the vendor database.
• Manage onboarding processes for new vendors.
• Monitor and report vendor‑related metrics for process optimisation.
• Perform regular cleanup of vendor master data, including removal of duplicates and inactive records.
• Resolve day‑to‑day issues proactively and escalate incidents to the Team Lead when necessary.
• Support implementation of activities to streamline and standardise operations, including operational metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• High standards of ethics, integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to complete position training and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of vendor master data and accounts payable processes.
• Capability to assess situations, set priorities, evaluate risks and support decision‑making.
• Self‑reliance with appropriate escalation skills.
