IT Hardware Engineer Trainee (m/f/d) - Lisbon

About the role

Vanderlande Logistics, a provider of airport logistics products and solutions, is offering an internship as an IT Hardware Engineer in Lisbon. You will contribute to the performance, stability and reliability of critical IT systems while developing your technical expertise to support infrastructure, resolve technical issues and help maintain secure and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support, resolving hardware and software issues with a focus on service quality, and escalate complex cases when needed
• Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software components
• Perform routine maintenance, support updates, patches and upgrades, and monitor system performance proactively
• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations and procedures, and contribute to technical guides and a knowledge base
• Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure service continuity

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Interest in learning everything about IT support and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Proactive, fast learner and able to collaborate in a dynamic environment
• Relevant IT certifications (networking, virtualization or security) are a plus

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of hardware, software, networking and security
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls)
• Linux administration and system management
• Hyperconverged infrastructure and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, backup and recovery)
• Cybersecurity basics (hardening, patch management, access control, vulnerability management)
