Data Integration Engineer (m/f/d) - Lisbon

About the role

Vanderlande Logistics, a leading provider of airport logistics solutions including baggage and cargo handling products, software and maintenance services, is hiring a Data Integration Engineer in Lisbon. The role involves normalising data for the company's flagship SaaS application, ensuring its quality and supporting new and existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop code to normalise data from various sources for ingestion and processing in the SaaS application.
• Ensure quality assurance for SaaS applications.
• Design and enhance technical solutions for new and existing customers.
• Document proposed and implemented solutions, keeping technical project documentation thorough and up to date.
• Provide regular status updates to requestors and key stakeholders.
• Manage the handover process for the Service and Customer Success teams.
• Collaborate with a geographically dispersed team and adapt priorities to changing business needs.

Required profile

• Educational background in software development, computer science, mathematics or a related field.
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Java or Python).
• Fluency in English; basic German is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn about airport and baggage handling operations and to travel.
• Comfortable with flexible working hours.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of APIs and data integration tasks.
• SQL, networking and Unix/Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; GitLab experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Agile and/or Lean methodologies and familiarity with client/server and web-based applications.
