Irrigation Technician

About the role

The Irrigation Technician will ensure the golf course’s irrigation and drainage systems operate efficiently, supporting optimal turf health and overall course presentation at Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain the golf course irrigation system.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation heads, valves, pipework, wiring, controllers and pumps.
• Monitor daily water usage and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather and turf needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation equipment and pump stations.
• Maintain accurate records of rainfall, water usage, repairs and maintenance activities.
• Manage inventory of irrigation parts and keep the parts room organized and stocked.
• Assist with pump station operation, maintenance and repairs.
• Operate golf course maintenance equipment, utility vehicles and light construction tools as required.
• Support special golf‑course projects and improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience with golf‑course irrigation systems.
• Irrigation certification.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
