Investment Officer – Equity & Growth Capital

About the role

The European Investment Bank is looking for an Investment Officer to join its Co‑Investment Unit in Luxembourg. The role focuses on originating, monitoring and managing equity‑type co‑investment operations that support the Bank’s lending activities and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute co‑investment transactions, ensuring timely delivery, rigorous risk assessment and alignment with EIB policy.
• Support deployment of existing co‑investment facilities, assess new opportunities and monitor portfolios throughout their life‑cycle.
• Develop and implement new operating models, templates, procedures and platforms for equity and quasi‑equity co‑investments.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships across the investment ecosystem.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Proven experience in equity or growth‑capital investments, preferably within a bank or investment institution.
• Strong analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities, with experience in due‑diligence processes.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment and communicate effectively with diverse partners.
