Corporate Credit Analyst Trainee

About the role

The Corporate Credit Analyst Trainee will support BNP Paribas Corporate Coverage by preparing high‑quality credit proposals and monitoring credit risk. This position offers exposure to credit analysis, client interaction and regulatory compliance within a leading European bank.

Key responsibilities

• Assess counterparty and credit risk by collecting and analysing financial statements, annual reports and other client information.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to understand client strategy, resources and financial profile.
• Prepare and complete credit proposals in line with internal guidelines and quality standards.
• Monitor client exposure, covenant compliance and global credit risk, alerting on rating changes or material events.
• Maintain portfolio reports and utilise internal credit tools to improve process efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Fluency in English and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
