Human Resources Operations Manager (Temporary, Remote – Portugal)

About the role

The HR Operations Manager (temporary) will provide day‑to‑day HR support for a business unit, ensuring continuity and alignment with business objectives during an interim cover period. Reporting to the Group HR Director, the role is fully remote and based in Portugal, acting as the primary HR contact for managers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees in partnership with the Group HR Director.
• Deliver HR initiatives across workforce planning, restructuring, recruitment, talent management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and performance management.
• Identify HR priorities based on organisational strategy and translate business needs into effective people solutions.
• Analyse and report HR data to support benchmarking and strategy development, ensuring accurate management information.
• Support resolution of employee‑relations matters, including grievances, together with the Group HR Director.
• Maintain accurate data in the Workday HR information system and meet all reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Promote compliance with employment regulations and support health, safety and well‑being initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in HR operations or a similar role within dynamic environments.
• Working knowledge of HR functions, best practices and Portuguese employment law.
• Analytical and structured approach to problem‑solving.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience working with international teams or supporting employees across multiple locations.
• Relevant HR certification or a degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
