Human Resources Generalist

About the role

BIRKENSTOCK is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR activities within its footwear manufacturing business. The role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires.
• Manage international assignments and employee secondments.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems and issue employment‑related declarations.
• Organise and update personnel files and ensure proper documentation.
• Handle employee requests, support attendance tracking and general HR administration.
• Ensure compliance with HR procedures, documentation standards, and legal requirements.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and maintain functional organisational charts.
• Prepare and update job descriptions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR queries.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
