HR Manager – Portugal

About the role

The HR Manager will support the delivery of HR activities across TSL's Portugal operations, working closely with senior managers and the international HR team. This role blends day‑to‑day operational HR management with the continuous improvement of local HR processes, ensuring alignment with both business priorities and global HR standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the local HR plan and align HR activities with business priorities.
• Coordinate recruitment and resourcing together with the Talent Acquisition Partner.
• Provide practical advice on employee relations, performance, absence, disciplinary matters and grievances.
• Review and improve existing HR processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain HRIS data, prepare HR reports and analyse trends for management decision‑making.
• Assist with compensation and benefits reviews using market data and employee feedback.
• Lead employee engagement activities, including surveys and follow‑up actions.
• Manage and develop members of the local HR team, setting priorities and fostering collaboration.

Required profile

• Previous HR experience in a fast‑paced corporate environment, preferably with employee‑relations exposure.
• Knowledge of Portuguese employment law and HR best practices.
• Relevant HR qualification such as CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in an international or multi‑site organisation is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS).
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
• Ability to analyse HR data and produce actionable insights.
