HR Manager - Global Businesses & Functions

About the role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join its Lisbon Capability Centre. Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide day‑to‑day HR advisory for roughly 250 employees across the Global Businesses & Functions area, supporting leaders, managers and staff in a fast‑moving, matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HR advice on career planning, performance management, manager coaching, employee relations, learning & development and compensation.
• Manage employee‑relations cases from intake through resolution, ensuring discretion and alignment with local practices.
• Apply Portuguese employment legislation to HR policies, processes and decisions, keeping the team informed of legal updates.
• Translate global and regional HR strategies into clear local implementation plans and support organizational change initiatives.
• Lead HR projects for the Lisbon Capability Centre, including process alignment, benefits harmonisation and other HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience providing HR advisory to a sizable employee base (≈250).
• Excellent cultural awareness and ability to work across diverse, global teams.
• Service‑oriented mindset with a discreet, diligent and structured working style.
