HR Generalist – Portugal

About the role

We are looking for an HR Generalist based in Portugal to support the AIG Iberia Cluster. The role will manage day‑to‑day HR operations with a strong focus on payroll and benefits administration, while partnering with business leaders to deliver HR solutions that align with our strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Administer payroll processing and benefits programs for the assigned business unit.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HR database and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Provide HR support to managers and staff on talent acquisition, compensation, learning & development, employee relations and wellbeing initiatives.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including job posting, interview scheduling and documentation, in partnership with HR Business Partners.
• Support the administration of HR information systems and keep personnel files up to date.
• Assist line managers with HR queries and ensure consistent application of HR policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of HR functions such as talent acquisition, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
• Experience in payroll management and benefits administration, preferably in the insurance sector.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a strong plus.
• Hands‑on, flexible attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across the Iberia Cluster.
