Head of Performance – Social Media (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Head of Performance to lead social media acquisition across global web‑based products. Based in Portugal within a remote‑first organization, you will shape strategy, drive execution on Meta and TikTok, and optimize campaigns for maximum efficiency and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead performance marketing strategy and execution on Meta and TikTok, focusing on scalable user acquisition.
• Own core metrics such as CPA, ROI/ROAS, LTV and overall acquisition efficiency.
• Scale paid social campaigns across multiple geographies while maintaining or improving performance.
• Design and run structured experimentation frameworks for creatives, funnels, offers and targeting.
• Build and optimise end‑to‑end acquisition funnels, including creative development, landing pages and conversion paths.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, creative and automation teams to improve performance and insights.
• Drive automation initiatives using rules, APIs, bulk optimisations and performance alerts.
• Lead, mentor and develop performance marketing teams, ensuring KPI achievement and testing discipline.
• Identify new growth opportunities and challenge existing acquisition strategies.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in performance media buying on Meta and TikTok at scale.
• Strong experience managing acquisition for web products.
• Demonstrated ability to scale large advertising budgets while maintaining efficiency.
• Deep understanding of performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS/ROI and LTV.
• Hands‑on experience building and optimising full‑funnel acquisition systems.
• Analytical mindset with experience using attribution, analytics and BI tools.
• Experience designing and executing high‑velocity A/B testing and hypothesis‑driven experiments.
• Familiarity with performance automation systems (rules, APIs, bulk operations, alerts).
• Proven leadership experience managing performance marketing teams.
