Head of Operations – Lisbon

About the role

As Head of Operations for ICEYE’s new Portuguese subsidiary, you will act as the right‑hand to the local CEO and ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the business. The role combines internal operational leadership with external representation to customers, vendors and partners, while linking global support functions to local needs.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as chief of staff to the CEO, preparing board agendas, leadership reviews and dashboards on hiring, budget, run‑rate and KPIs.
• Coordinate monthly financial close, transfer‑pricing inputs and statutory audit together with ICEYE Finance/FP&A.
• Work with ICEYE IT on equipment provisioning, mobile‑device‑management, network setup and security baseline, including onboarding and off‑boarding of accounts.
• Represent ICEYE Portugal in initial customer and partner meetings and support the CEO in commercial discussions.
• Assist the Local Security Officer with facility security and clearance logistics.
• Handle Portuguese regulatory matters such as incorporation paperwork, NIPC, Segurança Social, AT, ANEPC and administration of regional grants (SIFIDE II, Portugal 2030/PRR, IAPMEI).
• Act as the local HR contact point for onboarding, payroll queries and off‑boarding in partnership with Global HR, Payroll and Talent Acquisition.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational leadership or chief‑of‑staff roles within a multinational environment.
• Strong track record of coordinating finance, IT and HR processes across borders.
• Experience with vendor negotiations, procurement and regulatory compliance, preferably in Portugal.
• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with global functions.
