Head of Logistics (Outbound & Warehousing) – Angola

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Logistics to oversee outbound logistics and warehousing for a large‑scale Food & Beverage manufacturing operation in Angola. The role ensures efficient warehouse management, timely dispatch of millions of cases each month, and seamless distribution across the network while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end outbound logistics and warehouse operations for finished goods.
• Ensure on‑time dispatch and delivery of approximately 10 million cases per month.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies to improve service levels, delivery performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage large‑scale warehouse activities, including inventory accuracy, storage optimisation and dispatch planning.
• Oversee transportation planning, fleet management, route optimisation and third‑party logistics providers.
• Monitor logistics KPIs such as OTIF, warehouse productivity, dispatch accuracy, transportation costs and inventory movement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce logistics costs while maintaining high customer service.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and statutory regulations.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Demand Planning, Procurement and Customer Service teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop warehouse and logistics teams.
• Manage logistics budgets, vendor negotiations and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Supply Chain specialization preferred.
• 10‑12 years of experience in outbound logistics and warehousing within Food & Beverage or FMCG manufacturing.
• Proven track record handling high‑volume dispatch operations.
• Strong analytical, planning, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
