General Manager – San Juan, Puerto Rico

About the role

Lunova Group is seeking a results‑driven General Manager to lead its Puerto Rico branch in the elevator industry. The role oversees full P&L responsibility, drives profitable growth, and ensures a safety‑first culture across all business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise department managers and supervisors, providing direction, training, and clear communication of policies.
• Lead the branch’s safety program and model a safety‑first mindset.
• Manage daily operations to meet target EBIT, gross margin, and budget goals.
• Oversee P&L, using accounting reports to monitor performance and achieve monthly financial targets.
• Drive service contract retention and lead customer‑retention initiatives for at‑risk accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, building owners, and prospects.
• Ensure timely performance reviews for union and non‑union staff.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local elevator code requirements and labor laws.
• Collaborate with regional teams in operations, sales, accounting, safety, and HR.
• Approve purchases, contracts, modifications, and price adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven experience managing P&L and leading operational teams.
• Background in the elevator industry or related building‑services sectors (HVAC, fire safety, mechanical contracting) preferred.
• Demonstrated success in talent development and performance management.
• Strong analytical ability to identify problems, interpret data, and draw sound conclusions.
