French-Speaking Application Support Engineer

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a motivated French‑speaking Application Support Engineer to join its hybrid team in the Lisbon area. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of business‑critical applications while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support mission‑critical applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Maintain application availability, stability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment and release activities.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Contribute to process optimisation and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in application support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Basic understanding of networking, APIs, and middleware.
• Good scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
• Experience with ITSM tools and Agile/DevOps environments.
• Fluency in French and solid communication skills in English.
